I don't think it's as dire as 2007 but I do think it depends on who state plays in the acc tournie. I think if they make the ACC championship game there'd at least be an argument for state to be in the big dance.

Maybe we get 1 win in the ACCT, we get to the NIT, win a game or so, sid gets fired, and a harrowing coaching search begins. We need Debbie to keep the recruits, stop transfers, and hire the right person. That's the end game.

We don't have the mojo or experience this year to overachieve in a tourney. At our best, we have been merely competent this year. Tourney runs are usually made by seniors who are desperate to end their careers on a high note.

Our performance in the last 4 minutes tells it all. If we don't have a commanding lead, we will fold like a cheap tent in the tournament.
