Six feet, six and one-half inches

The half inch is important because my entire family is really tall and we compete in terms of height. The day I overtook my parents (dad's six-four, mom's six-three) was one of the proudest of my life.

Sadly my younger brother will always edge me out by a quarter-inch...unless I cut his feet off.

What I didn't realize until awhile ago is how short a lot of actors are. Martin Lawrence is only 5'7". John Stewart is 5'7", Tom Cruise is 5'7" on a good day. Then you have these huge action stars that aren't as tall as they appear like Arnold Schwarzenegger (6'), Sylvester Stallone (5'9"), and Jason Statham (5'9"). It makes me feel better about not being an even 6', which for some reason (probably the media's fault) is what I wanted to be when I grew up.

FWIW Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who had a profound change on this country, was only 5'6.5" tall.
