I have family off Kaplan. They lose power all the time. Often they'll lose power when no one else in the city will or they will be the first to lose power for larger outages. I have no idea why that particular neighborhood is so susceptible to power loss.

They must have the oldest grid in the city... or all the power lines are rubbing up against tree limbs or something. I'd definitely have all electronics on a UPS if I lived there.

when progress called back they said the outage was teh result of "damage to their equipment" I dunno wtf that means.

It was off from 3:45 until after 10am

i was thinking that

like the time the drunk people climbed in to the substation, almost electrocuted themselves (were burned all over) and knocked out power all up tryon

I also thought maybe a drunk driver hit something.

either wya something was fucked because the first time I called in they said like an hour, then the recording called back and said it would be like 5:45, then it called back again and said like 11.

I'm off Kaplan and mine was out the other day. The next day a different section appeared to be out of power (traffic light at Gorman was out). They must be doing some kind of utility work...

I think it has to do with whatever knockd the lights out for 12 hours a few weeks ago.......I got a letter from progress stating there is a scheduled outage to upgrade equipment.

Coming back to the apartment after work the light was out by Wendy's and at the next intersection down they had the whole road blocked off for utility work. Figured a tree musta come down on a pole or something.

Mines out in falcon ridge. My neighbor said progress was guessing 1030 but alas, still no power. I don't know how much I lose just having to re cool the house all the time

^Same power grid. I'm at Kaplan x Athens and Avent Ferry is a few blocks away practically.

But yeah... weird outages today, WAY BEFORE the storm that rolled through. Pearl Chinese was more packed than I've ever seen it, supposedly because of outages. They were rolling I guess you'd say. Never got a call from Progress or anything.

is that what happened? went out at about 330 on centennial, and was still out by 7 on western, but we had power back on centennial
