I appreciate that he did everything in his power to succeed, but the fact of the matter is that he failed to live up to expectations, and like any employee of any institution who is let go, I expect his replacement to outperform him, and for the program to be better in his absence.

For this, I cannot thank him. But I will say Nice Try, and good luck in your future endeavors.

Sid had such pride for the school and always had the best intentions in everything that was done. He always handled himself and all situations with class and dignity... may not have worked out on the court, but I wouldn't mind if he stuck around to help with recruiting!

Sid is a great representative of what NCSU strives for. A champion and a great person. His role as a coach didn't pan out, but that will never tarnish what he means to this university.

The past few seasons have not been what any of us have expected, but Sidney you have carried yourself, the team, and this school with great dignity. Thank you for all you have done and tried to do. I don't think we have ever or will ever again have a coach that cares so much for this university. Your are much loved and we will never forget the wonderful things you have done at State.
