It's going to be tough on any new coach we get cause we have such high expectations as fans. The bottom line is NCSU fans are tired of not being the best in North Carolina. I'm sick of listening to bandwagon UNC and Duke fans talking bad about my school. We need to be back to where we used to be.

We need to pay texa$ to get a big name coach in here with 1) a proven track record in the NCAA; 2) balls and the ability to coach whiny gangster kids; 3) enough prestige to attract more talent

though I'd love to see us land a diamond in the rough minor coach that will grow with us and become a franchise coach like Roy or Coach K the fact is that will be another 4 year gamble. shell out the big bucks and get somebody worthwhile. hell use some of that $50 million Lonnie Poole dropped on us the other day because it's a better investment if we're losing hundreds of thousands a year on unfilled seats. success in revenue sports = attracting new freshmen, grants, and alumni money that can be redistributed to other sports or academics

I really don't think we are going to want some big huge name coming to our school. Get someone small. We need a lasting program, and if we get someone small that grows into a big name with us then we will have that lasting program. Until then we are just going to keep having coaches for 5 years or less and we're going to turn into the red headed step child of the ACC.

I don't know about you but I am sick of being the 3rd when it comes to North Carolina teams...4th sometimes...I'm sure most state fans feel the same way. We're ready to be back on the same level as UNC and Duke. I'm ready to have a coach that will get us there. Unless we get a coach that from the very first season brings us out into a winning season we as state fans are going to be tough on him...we are tough on our coaches, unless you haven't been paying attention to the last however many years we have been treating our football and basketball coaches.
