I'm sure you guys may know some of these, but if not I figured I would post up a few things that can help out during the season of tree skeet. I offer this to my customers (this is not an advertisement, just some friendly tips), and here is what I do to the cars to at least help with the pollen accumulation.

Obviously, you cant eliminate pollen from sticking to your car, but you can help not so much of it stick.

- Use a clay bar on the paint and glass. This takes off any gritty imperfections that hinders the pollens ability to fly off the paint/glass.

- Dont wax with carnauba this time of year, use a sealant or synthetic. Carnauba attracts dust (pollen) really bad. Use a sealant type of wax (think Duragloss #105 or #101, Mothers SynWax etc). It drastically reduces the amount of pollen that sticks to the car. What does stick, gets blown off. Wax the glass and wheels as well. A great product that is available only online (http://www.autogeek.net) is FK 2180 sealant, its anti-static and actually works well.

- Use an anti-static detail spray after a wash or wax job. I like Clearkote Quick Shine, FK #425, and Duragloss #921. The first 2 are online only, the Duragloss products you can find at NAPA and CarQuest.

- Use a water based tire/trim dressing. Armor All (new forumula) works well for this. Water based dressings dont attract dust as bad as silicone based products. Just take a new bottle of AA, open the top and fill whatever isnt filled with water. This dilutes it down just a hair. When you apply, use a sponge to remove excess from tires/trim etc. The surface should be dry, not sticky or wet.

After you do this stuff, the pollen will still land on the car but usually blows away with a quick drive. It actually does work, I tested our 55' Chevrolet last year with my methods. I did 1/2 the car with the above, and the other 1/2 with Carnauba wax. Drastic difference, even more so when you drove it up the road. The side with my methods was nearly pollen free.

I know it wont help much during tree jizz season but every little bit counts I reckon.
