On Tuesday evening, March 29th at approximately 11:10 pm, a female
student was walking near Thomas Hall at Yarborough Drive and Derieux
Place when she was approached by a white male. The suspect assaulted the
victim by trying to put his hands down her pants. The victim was able to
fight off the suspect and fled the scene. The suspect was last seen on
foot in the area of Thomas Hall. No weapons were seen or implied during
the assault.

The suspect is described as a white male, light complexion, medium (yay we didn't do it this time)
build, and approximately 5'10" in height. The suspect was wearing a
black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact the
University Police Department at 515-3000.

Any updated information will be posted at the NC State University Police
website at: http://www.ncsu.edu/police

1. Always walk in well-lighted areas at night.
2. Don't walk alone after hours, use the Safety Escort 515-3000
3. Report suspicious activity to the Police immediately
