I read a long time ago that Kmart has pretty much every store in their chain paid off......as in they own the land and building outright. I guess thats why it makes sense that the Western Blvd Kmart can stay open with absolutely no customer base.

yea i remember one time a few years ago the older weird guy that works in the kmart on western saying that that kmart wouldnt be going anywhere for a very long time

From the information at the time, they saved each other. And a lot of the info at the time labeled it as Kmart buying Sears
