i was actually just being an asshole and there are some circumstances under which i would go to a phish show

and there are a handful of phish songs i like

i would prob dislike the crowd more than the show

in a music fest setting though i could dig it

at least then i'd have the opportunity to wander off and maybe see something else if i wasn't feelin it

i don't think i'd pay to go see just a phish show though

if someone gave me free tix i'd prob consider going

i really would rather die than ever listen to widespread panic though. but that is another topic

I went to my first Phish show last year and had a great time, but I have to admit that every song sounds alike.

i was almost convinced to go to this tonight (and therefore almost ate my words). i am still kinda on the fence ONLY because on of my BFFs4L is in town and i never see him and that is who i'd go with. BUT

a) it is going to rain. like over 50% chance from 8 until 1. i don't want to get muddy. or be wet. or ruin my clothes

2) i think i'd be totally bored. i just tried to listen to a phish song and imagine it going on for 5 - 6 times its album 5 minute length and i wanted to cry.

3) i would not be on drugs

friend is going to be epically disappointed and it sucks that i probably won't get to see this person because they won't go downtown after the show since they are staying in a hotel by walnut creek but i mean...yea. if it wasn't going to rain i might have been convinced. but an emergency poncho would just be miserable in this heat. and mud. and ruined dress. gross.

there are some tools (not people, but actually aides/utilities/items) that would help me in enjoying phish but i do not have those at my disposal

and drinking would just make me tired

and again with the mud. i like slip n slides but...i don't know. i was trying to look all hippy chic. the mud wasn't really working for my vision
