See, I have to wonder if the lonely soul thing is really the case. I try to imagine why I would invite someone over if I didn't want them to interact in any way while they were there. The only thing I can determine is that such an invitation is a stopgap measure to hold the inviter over until better things come.

I agree, it's extremely rude behavior and I find that it is quite interesting to be on the receiving end of it.

I got the impression that it was assumed by the inviter that I'm so stupid that I wasn't aware of it. This assumption adds insult to injury to be perfectly honest, especially since I actually have a high IQ and am fairly accomplished in terms of my education (My point here is that I've been educated to a level that is certainly beyond that of a life long Burger King employee). How one could assume this is beyond comprehension really. Unfortunately, I do speak in a manner that comes across as retarded and, like everyone, I occasionally make mistakes.

Oh no, no insinuating was done. Initially it was a situation where any comment was met with an "I'm busy" type response, but that phrase was never directly stated. Then this behavior was followed by what was essentially a direct request to leave when more interesting activities became available. What was funny is that I was then "allowed" to stay because it turned out that something had been forgotten and the more interesting activities actually weren't available. Of course I left anyway because I'm not a fan of being someone's last resort activity (One that they don't even want to interact with).

I'm telling you, it was quite interesting at the time. The circumstances weren't angering at all, they were mostly just telling.
