i am moving to morrisville in 2 months. i have been with twc for years and have been happy with the service but the price is just insane. no phone. just tv/web. HD, local channels and dvr my main tv reqs. reliability is my most important need (which i know twc is prob leader there...)
right now we r paying approx $140/mo for cable/int. i know that whatever i choose i can get a deal as a new customter (cable under roommates name now). i really want to keep the total under 100 after 6mo/1yr deal is complete.
help?

Right now my wife and I have dish network for TV and Charter (my local cable provider) for our internet.

We have 16Mbps internet for $34.99 and our Dish TV package has HD, local channels, DVR (in two rooms), and HBO for $50 a month ($35 + $15 for HBO). I think after this first year of Dish is up the price will go to $50 for the package or $65 if we still want HBO.

If you don't care about HBO, that's $84.99 after our promotions are up. Or basically right at $100 after the promotions for a lot of stuff.

Now, when two years are up, who knows what Dish will go to, but we'll be out of the 2-yr contract then so we can re-look at cable or Direct or something.
