I always thought Lent ended on Palm Sunday, but I am hearing Holy , Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday too.

I thought Lent was to commemorate Jesus fasting in the desert for 40 days. He came back to town from the desert on Palm Sunday. Fast is over at that point. 40 days from Ash Wednesday to Palm Sunday. Right?

The season of Lent ends on Easter.

Yesterday was Maundy Thursday, today is Good Friday.

Lent ends at sunrise of Easter Sunday.

I don't take part in Lent either but I def know of people that it is an important part of their life.

Come on, McDanger, you know I appreciate what you have to say. There are times that belief is important to everyone just like your belief that idealism is poisonous. You can have opinions without all the ridicule sometimes.

Lent is 40 days, not including Sundays before lent. Sundays aren't counted because this is the day of the Lord and celebration of his resurrection. So technically if you have been abstaining and fasting even on Sunday's your lenten season is more than 40 days.

the "Great Three Days" Also know as the Holy Triduum is the three-part celebration beginning with the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, continuing with The Celebration of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday, and concluding with the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.

I personally will be breaking my fasting and abstaining on Easter Morning.
