Posted this up a few months ago when I owed around $16,500 and couldn't find anyone interested willing to pay enough that I could afford to pay off the difference. I've paid off a little more than $2k of what I owe since then and am nearly the amount where Carmax or Auctiondirect will buy it from me.

Basically, I'm trying to see if anyone is interested in this and would pay a little bit more than their crappy offers before I cart it over to them. My plan is to pay off the gap in the next 2 weeks and have it gone by mid-May.

Considering how badly Carmax lowballs most people I'd think you'd get more than their offer pretty quickly by posting it on Craigslist. Looks clean. GLWS.

you paid how much for that O.o .... i paid 7K for my caliber... only had 14 miles on it when i bought it...

My idiot self bought it brand new in 2008. So yeah, I overpaid quite a bit. Craigslist only brought severe lowballers the like 5 times I posted it up there.

Carmax and Auctiondirect both gave me offers of $13,000. I'm nearly at that for what is owed

There is Caliber and then there is SRT-4. Huge difference.
Not saying it was financially smart to buy new, but that's a sweet ride, good luck with the sale. And the "premium wheels" look damn straight too.

I do thoroughly enjoy the car. I just ran my specs through the Autotrader trade-in offer thing and got an amount I can sell for (over $14,000!). The one thing I have to do is figure out if these "buying centers" will just buy my car off of me for that amount or what. Sadly the closest one is off of Capital and I'm in Durham working.

And of course they have to inspect my car to make sure I didn't make any details up, so I know they'll find some excuses to lower the offer a bit, but hey. If I can get rid of it today I'll be one happy person.
