Does anybody know of a laptop with HDMI in? It would be pretty awesome if I could mirror my phone on my laptop..

"Eurocom is a name synonymous with high-end, cutting-edge machines. It's also a company that rarely makes anything that's truly "portable." Without a doubt, the company's calling card is their high-end gaming notebooks, and the machines they make are about as close as you can get to having desktop power within a notebook.

The new X7200 Panther 2.0 is no different. It's a powerful new laptop that just so happens to be the world's first notebook with an HDMI 1.4 input port. HDMI 1.4 is the latest version of the protocol, which fully supports 3D. The Panther 2.0 can be customized in pretty much every way imaginable, but the company suggests using a 6-core Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition or a Xeon 5600 Series processor to really feel the speed.

Looks like this is the only laptop..

why in the hell would you even want to do this? This seems like one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Why input to a laptop, versus just buying a keyboard+portable screen for your iphone.

Or better yet, just buying an iPad?

^ That is nearly as dumb.

If you have a laptop...what is preventing you from having the same media on your phone from being on your laptop?

I have an Evo and my work laptop, and when I am at work the internet usage is monitored. At work I use a docking station and connect to a wired network. When I tether my phone to my laptop at work it doesn't work for some reason. So I was just wondering if there was a way I could connect my phone to my laptop, have it mirror on my computer monitor and use a keyboard and mouse to navigate it.

I used to be able to do this back in 2004 on my Nokia Series 60 Symbian based phone. Actually this may not have anything to do with HDMI, probably just need some app that will do this with my laptop connected through USB or bluetooth.

What does this mean? You should be able to tether and use the phone as your connection. However, your work IT may have something to say about that.

Yea, the IT is a problem, and when I wireless tether my phone, it connects to the wireless network, but it uses the internet from the wired connection, I can tell because Firefox does not open any sites through my work internet, and also a lot of websites are blocked. The work internet is actively monitored, and every year they come out with a list of the top 100 people using internet at work.. kinda sucks..

I know that for windows 6.5 there was a program that displayed your phone on your desktop and you were able to interact with it using your mouse. It came in hand often.

Look, what your windows programs do in the privacy of their own homes is their business, but lets not discuss it on a public message board for everyone to see. That's just trashy.

Get a VNC app for the phone.

Change the provider order to use the wireless over the wired.

Get a new job that doesn’t suck.

change the metric of your wired interface to something higher than the tethered interface.
