This week as made it clear that it seems like its a bad idea to mix the two. What do you think would be the best way to handle these situations? I'd probably just make a thread and spill it all out or never tell a soul connected to TWW. I guess it would depend on the circumstances. Maybe I should quit TWW just in case.

My wife (then girlfriend) had an account on here about 10 years ago. It was short lived, she was the sensible one who escaped the wrath of TWW.

yeah, I don't foresee anything extreme happening like some of the other tww relationships, but if we broke up it would be really hard on me. I wouldn't want TWW ganging up on me or him.

^ When Christine and I broke up back in 2008, TWW didn't really gang up on either of us (well no more than usual ). Part of that was we were civil with each other, we didn't make our private business other people's business, and we didn't want to force our friends to choose sides.

I've been curious about what would happen if we broke up. Like if TWW would care and gossip and want details or if nobody would give a shit. I would think the latter, but given the way it seems to go on here there's no telling.

^ I think they didn't gang up on either of you because (to my knowledge) it wasn't really a breakup because of a particular fault of one of you. Mutual, relatively peaceful breakups are a lot less dramatic and interesting than someone getting dumped or someone walking out.

TWW has a habit of feeding off of fuel. Don't give it fuel, and it doesn't catch in the first place.

Ineresting. Granted I assumed it wasn't like that simply because it didn't get out on here. I guess I'd expect that in situations like that it would turn into "OMG what happened??" on here and people wouldn't shut up till they found out.

I would think even little shit that normal people argue about might get out, and random people you don't even know would comment on it, and it might turn into a bigger deal than it really is/was. I could definitely see it being a problem if both people in the relationship were somewhat prominent posters on this site.

tww break ups are the best though...they cause huge drama...

sometimes one of the people in the relationship stop posting....but other times both parties move on and they are like "whatever...it happens" and they go on with their lives.

I have dated two tdubbers, and both were frequent posters and one still is, one no one who doesn't know me personally ever knew about, and the other no one who doesn't know me personally knew until we broke up. The beans almost got spilt A LOT cuz I have friends with loose tongues who know I usually don't keep anything private. It was his idea to keep it private for the most part, and I think it was definitely for the best.
