Annoying these never stick enough to get bumped

that first fight was rigged, omigawa kicked his ass. i hate judges.

Carwin- Dos santos might be the best fight of the year so far. two standup guys who actually go for the knockout

Former NHL enforcer Donald Brashear won his first MMA fight via TKO at 0:21 of the first round.

^ yeah i saw that but the other guy was a random fat guy that was 0-0 haha.

The Beltran fight is one of the most entertaining ive ever seen. Guarantee they reshow that fight after the main event tonight.

Beltran is the kind of guy fans want to watch, his last fight vs Pat Barry was awesome too.

Beltran is actually visibly improving each fight I like the guy his combinations werepretty crisp

I feel bad for yves he had an excellent plan for stout but that's an exampleof shit jus happens cuz yves didn't really make a mistake stout just finished a counter combination and won the chessmatch

Stouts awesome btw

I'm glad Carwin got the opportunity to finish out the first. Though it didn't help him, I didn't want to see it end in the 1st.

Goddammit that fight was beyond awful. The last four cards have all been terrible and that's why mma is dying a slow death in America.

They manage to have can't miss fights for free online and can't watch fights on ppv. Terrible product with great marketing, the end is near

I don't have a problem with any of the cards. There will always be 1 or 2 fights I want to see but I'm not gonna pay $45 for it unless its stacked.

I probably won't buy one until 135, Jones vs Rampage

Fight of the year is on VS tonight not spike as i mentioned in the previous post.

This is absolutely a must-see. This fight between Kampmann and Sanchez is ridiculously good. Even if you don't like MMA, set the DVR it's worth it. They are re-showing the entire event at 9 PM, but the main event will start around 10:20 or so.

Just to put things in perspective after the fight Dana White gave them $60k each as a bonus for fight of the night instead of the $40k they were supposed to get. Then the next day he gave them $100k each on top of that because it was so good.

that fight was fairly technical for the casual fan, but it was still badass. They were actually moving forward for 15 straight minutes. Kampmann did more damage overal, but i think diego did barely win rounds 2&3.

Never mind that, let's talk about the bullshit that was Overeem and Verdum. Shameful. I drive by Verdum's gym all the time, and if I had another hundred pounds and a few more black belts, I'd have half a mind to go wag my finger at him.

I'm assuming no one thinks he's better than Cain or JDS... I guess its impossible to gauge where lesnar will be if he comes back again

I'm not really sure, but I would love to see him make the move to UFC some day soon while he's still in his prime. He's had some really impressive wins, but he's definitely more dominant in K1 than in MMA, where he's not as well-rounded. His conditioning looked suspect against Werdum, but that's partly expected since it had been years since anyone has lasted past the first round against him (except for Cro-Cop). He's also gotten knocked out a lot in the past, so overall his style seems like more of a rock, paper, scissors match than most. He can throw a pretty damn hard rock, but if someone manages to brings paper, he's not very good at switching it up.

I don't think anybody really wants to try and stand with the Reem. I think Cain could take him because he has the ability to switch up between takedowns and standup. Dos Santos, not so much. Brock or any other straight up wrestler would get eaten up by knees on the shot. After Overeem wins this tournament I think he deserves a title shot.

holy shit Nate Marquardt got scratched from tomorrow night's fight and replaced b/c he couldnt clear medically.

Not only that but he got cut by the UFC too?!

He's not one of my favorite fighters or anything but why did they cut a guy that would have been a top contender at 170? Steroids? During a cut? Doubt it... a diuretic seems more likely but would they really drop him from the promotion for that?

Anyway, Barry, Story, and Attonito are the fighters i really want to see tomorrow anyway but that card just got quite a bit weaker. Story should win easily I've never even heard of the guy replacing Marquardt

kongo never gets credit but hes a god damn man, he takes some bombs and never actually gets put out, his recovery is superb. Frank Mir comes to mind, he got knocked across the ring and was about to recover had mir not set that choke

That was the most epic comeback I've seen in MMA since Pete Sell vs Scott Smith. What makes it better was that Congo he got put down badly, several times and knocked out Barry so hard, I honestly thought he was dead.

I wouldnt be mad at Brock if he quit MMA, he aint got shit to prove v.s. having either invasive surgery to remove a portion of his intestines just to get back in the cage or have the diverticulitis flare up again when he steps up his training for his next fight. Hes gonna be so freakin worried about if/when hell fall ill again he wont train properly. If he takes the surgery it will no doubt change his body

i say fuck it, dont kill yourself over these idiot fans.

but i dont really understand what vinylbandit is tryin to say "hit as high points"? i am not sure what he is trying to convey. and Paul Heyman doesnt have anything to do with the UFC as far as I know. I dont imagine he has a good relationship with the WWE isnt he with TNA?

Heyman doesn't have anything to do with UFC, but he has everything to do with Lesnar. Heyman never took the job with TNA because they refused to give him complete creative control and take all power away from Vince Russo.

My point was that there was a very pointed promo by CM Punk at the end of this week's Raw, and it mentioned a few people by name. One was Colt Cabana; one of the stipulations of Punk's new, unsigned contract (his deal runs out July 17th, both in kayfabe and real life), is that Colt Cabana is brought back to WWE. He also talked a lot about Paul Heyman and Lesnar, and the fact is that Vince McMahon doesn't let anyone talk about anything that doesn't have to do with his product in one way or another.

These same rumors have been going on forever, even with that beef between undertaker and brock where undertaker openly discussed brock.

I know that wasnt part of kayfabe or the show or anything but those sorts of conversations went on for a couple of weeks after the velasquez fight and brock still did TUF. I would figure vince would put the reigns on that. Nonetheless, if brock decides to do that right on, i just cant imagine it really being any relief givent he amount of travel, but I guess theres no pressure regarding dropping out of main event fights at the last minute.

Pissed that I missed this card. Leben, guillard, condit look like they all had impressive outings. Cruz wasn't easy money, but that line at -130 was too good to pass up, the judges clearly wanted him to win 50-45?? On one card.

Guillard is on a tear lately, so is Condit. I also think it may be about time for Wanderlai to hang em up. I hate to say that, but he's not that monster he was back in Pride. Reminds me of Chuck when his chin turned to glass.

Yeah White wants Wanderlei to retire.

http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/news/story?id=6734718

Quote :
"Wanderlei Silva lasted just 27 seconds in the Octagon with Chris Leben in the co-main event of UFC 132 Saturday.

From what UFC president Dana White saw, there's no reason for Silva to enter the cage again.

Silva fell victim to a first-round knockout Saturday, his sixth loss in eight fights, four of which have come by knockout. During fight week, the 35-year-old said he'd like to continue fighting for the next five years, but it's become clear his body might not hold that long.

"We knew him and Leben were going to come out and fight until somebody fell down and it was Wanderlei tonight," White said.

"People love him so much because of the way he fights but this is probably the end of the road for Wanderlei."

Leben (26-7) said the early punch he landed on Wanderlei's temple would have put any UFC middleweight out.

Although he publicly questioned whether or not Silva's chin was as sturdy as it once was before the fight, Leben said the knockout was not indicative of any decline in his opponent.

"Wanderlei Silva can do whatever he wants. He's solid," Leben said. "I hit him pretty damn hard. I don't think anybody would have stayed up."

Silva (33-11-1) has enjoyed a storied career as a mixed martial artist. He left his greatest impression while fighting in Pride, where he took out notable opponents such as Dan Henderson, Quinton Jackson and Kazushi Sakuraba.

White didn't go so far as to say he'd force Silva out of the UFC. The two will likely meet next week in Las Vegas, where Silva lives and trains at his personal gym.

The UFC president has expressed a desire for certain fighters to hang it up before, only to end up booking them another fight. He did so earlier this year with Mirko Filipovic (27-9-2), who is expected to compete again despite suffering vicious knockout losses in his last two fights.

White did say, however, he would do his best to nudge Silva in the direction of retirement, much like he did to former champion Chuck Liddell.

"I think it's one of those ones where I'd like to sit down and talk to him," White said. "Kind of Chuck Liddell him into it. The guy has nothing left to prove. He's a warrior and people love him all over the world.

"I just don't want to see that happen to him anymore.""

WOOT Rashad v.s TITO at ufc 133

Phil Davis got injured and Machida almost stepped in to take the fight but decided against it

Tito at first declined as well but I imagine Dana greased the wheels so it is now Tito v.s. Rashad II

This fight is actually monumental, it will be the first fight under the new UFC rules of Main events being 5 round fights.

Rashad gonna erase that draw with a clean TKO of tito, im so excited rashad is my idol and I will be rocking my Rashad Evans shirt and tailgating for this fight!

honestly when it was being proposed that machida would step in i was praying to God he would decline....sweet

^ this fight is only three rounds, they arent starting the new rule until UFC 138 they wanted to give guys time to adjust.

Pretty shitty card IMO, though ill still probably watch it. Akiyama vs Belfort, gee wonder who will win that?

I think ortiz has a chance against rashad, ill probably bet on him because he's 3:1 odds.

So annoying how many guys have pulled out of fights this year. Rashad vs Shogun became Rashad vs Nogueira, which then became Rashad vs Davis, which is now Rashad vs Tito.

Not even worth bothering to see whose on the card until the night of the fight.

And even then you get Nate Marquardt pulling out of a fight that his original opponent had already pulled out of haha
