Cops took their sweet time responding. You'd think Cary police have nothing better to do The thuds and screams had definitely escalated by the time they arrived. I wonder if the took the guy away. I was outside my job on break at work a few nights ago, and this guy and girl were coming out my store screaming at each other. The girl goes to the car and starts kicking the back of the car...guy goes and grabs her and starts yelling at her. Then she tries to walk away, he gets in car and backed up and purposely hit her with the car. She's crying on the ground in the fetal position (that's what the witness told me and cops), and he yells again and drags her into the driver's seat while she screams "Let me go" and "Give me my cell phone!" at him. Then he starts punching her and slapping her until she almost falls out the car. THEN he pushes her into the passenger seat and they take off.

I called the cops but yeah Cary PD isn't too prompt. To make matters worse, an undercover was at the top of the hill (in back of the parking lot) writing up a report for another call, and actually PULLED OUT TO LEAVE PARKING LOT BEHIND THE SUSPECT not realizing all this transpired.

^^^ that's not at all what happens. How many times do you hear of the neighbors calling the police? The man may be arrested, but the woman drops the charges and the guy is back in time for the evening news and the nightly beating. If the woman doesn't press charges, he walks.

Nobody would give a fuck if I started kicking some dude's car and got my ass beat for it. In fact, it's pretty much expected.

Put two shitheads together and bad things happen. I do feel bad for good people who suffer through abuse, but more often than not I find myself thinking both parties are fuckups in these situations.
