its a late '07 MBP.
bought it from a friend who is going to refund my money. luckily i backed everything up before it crashed. whats the best way to wipe my hard drive clean? it turns on but is stuck at the grey apple screen with the turning gear and just freezes, screen is also different colors.
I want to just erase my passwords and stuff from my browsers. thats my main concern.
he could either give me money to fix it for myself, or refund. and with the amount i paid, i could get a newer MBP with a bit more $ on top.
could I take the hard drive out and take it somewhere? 7/6/2011 12:58:04 PM |

Take the hard drive out and put it in a USB enclosure. Plug into any other system and do what you need to with it. 7/6/2011 2:13:14 PM |

Make sure it's not one of the ones under the Nvidia recall. Apple is fixing these for free. 7/6/2011 3:50:24 PM |
