Contact your local tea party organizers. There will be plenty of work to do with them. A lot of canvassing/door to door etc.

I hear Phil Berger Jr. may have a campaign going soon! You should totally check into that. More info here:

http://bluenc.com/wow-pop-thanks-congressional-district-just-me%3F

Quote :
"No, it's not the Gerber Baby. Meet the hand-picked Republican frontrunner for the newly drawn 13th Congressional district and the son of the most powerful Republican in the Senate: The Berger Baby.

Phil Berger Jr may be 39 years old, but he is one lucky kid. His Dad - Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger Sr. - not only had a big hand in purging Brad Miller’s district of registered Democrats and proposing it run from Surry to Wake County, but he'll be able to steer incredible GOP resources to his son's Congressional campaign when the announcement becomes official this fall."

And here:

"Pro Tem's son mulls run for 13th"

http://www.wral.com/news/state/nccapitol/blogpost/9821695/

Quote :
"Berger’s father, Phil Berger, is the N.C. Senate president pro tem. The younger Berger hasn’t run for a legislative office before, though he is vice president-elect of the state Conference of District Attorneys and has served as his county’s party chairman.

He said after he looked at the proposed district maps on his phone this weekend, he called his dad to talk about it. “I bounce a lot of ideas off him,” he added.

The proposed plan to redraw the 13th would change the district's political landscape, making it very difficult for Miller to hold onto the seat in 2012. Berger said that was a factor in his decision.

“Certainly, it’s a better district for a Republican candidate,” he said."

No. we usually spend our time defending the poor against the regulatory state, such as minority taxi drivers in DC and minority neighborhoods eager to get grocery service.

The DC government is attempting to make it illegal for the poor to operate a taxi and they are trying to make it illegal for Walmart to open a store in poor under-served areas.

Students for Liberty along with the Institute for Justice are on the case.
