1 of them is Granny Smith

the other one I am not sure of, all I know is they are red and sweet. not as big as red delicious. Both were here well before we moved in

but they do produce tons of apples. We make a big batch of applesauce at the end of the year, but most of them get fed to the neighbor's animals or the squirrels.

My parents have figs, peaches, pears, and pomegrante trees. Once I get a house of my own I'm definitely planting some fruit trees.

We have a fig tree too. we barely even eat them, but the squirrels love them.

I really want a pear tree, but I want to buy one that is already several years old or transplant one that is already mature. I just don't have the patience

^^^ Won't most dwarf varieties fruit within 2-3 years and you already buy them around that age anyway?

God I love figs...my grandma has one at her house that's been there for decades. Me and the squirrels (or maybe birds) are the only ones who eat them. Figs are like candy to me.

NRR, if the birds are eating all of your cherries take and hang some CDs from fishing line in the tree. You can also take pie pans and rig them with something so that they clank when the wind blows. We did this to our cherry tree back home and we now get more than we want.
