I have no idea how or why that Grizzly Bear/Books show happened but it was awesome. it wasn't as good, but I think Dr. Dog & Architecture in Helsinki played at Talley that year too.

I hate hate hate what this guy does. He will take a decent hip hop song, take the base out (which for a lot people is the song) and then mash it up with some rock song from the 80's. The shit is just turrible.

Every song I've listened to of his is just too cluttered. Yeah, I understand it's a mashup, but there isn't a single defining characteristic of any of his songs. Hell, there is no point in calling them "songs" when they should just be released as an hour's worth of music. The only memorable parts of his music are like 10 seconds long, because that's how long he takes before he'll go back and throw 3 distinctly different hooks over each other.
