Antique needles are not easy to find...at least not original model numbers. Usually they stopped making them ages ago...thats why a lot of phonographs get sold so cheap.

I suggest contacting the folks at

My parents bought a 1922 Edison phonograph at an estate sale a couple years ago for $100

Sold it for $800 to some collector they found online

^^ thats where i went first

i hope it works out.

i mean it doesnt have to be the exact one of course, but maybe there is somewhere where they refurbish or something.

the needle works and were playing records right now (ones were not worried about getting messed up, but theyre pretty cool so im like aaaaahhhhhh )

but yeah. i really would feel better with a new clean needle.

i'm sorry.

i inherited A LOT of my mom's (and a lesser extent-my dad's) records and i remember playing them when i was little (they bought me a care bear record player).
they taught me how to work it at a fairly young age.
i would sit in my room at 6ish years old playing three dog night over.and over. and over.

i really really REALLY am excited to play my steppenwolf though.
magic carpet ride was one i latched onto as well.

Seems pretty simple. It's right there in the instructions. Just contact your local Admiral dealer.

I found the reference material you may need to review before you consider replacing the equipment on your phonograph: http://www.apple.com/ipod/
