Found out today that "neat effects" can easily become "near erect" on a Swype keyboard. Curiously, "haha" became "Kafka."

I haven't had any that bad, but I just recently (within the last month) got my first touchscreen phone. And I've been using swype, which I really like, but I make a lot of weird mistakes that I don't realize before I send the text. I often wonder how the receiver of the text even knows what I'm talking about iif I don't correct the mistake right away

I am still getting used to my touch screen, as well. My wife is out of town, and I tried to send a text last night that said "still eating?" I sent "soup reading?" instead, which was oddly topical, but probably still a head-scratcher.

BTW...swype is awesome. I run into a problem every now and then...but I fly through texts with ease. Much faster than with my blackberry (and I was very fast with that keyboard).

I would hate typing on a touch screen without swype.

Yeah, same here. I catch 90 percent of the errors before I hit send (although sometimes I'll still hit send just for the wtf factor). And it's so much faster, the occasional trade-off in accuracy is well worth it.
