Just wondering if anyone knew of any places near campus that would sell magic the gathering singles? Its a shitty day outside, so its time to nerd it up. The only place I've found that sells more than just packs is All Fun and Games, but the site says they close early today. Thanks.

Amazing tales used to be pretty cool. But shit got closed down. But as for mtg, it's better to just not. SHIT COSTS TO MUCH MONEY.

you know, I think the owner of Foundation's Edge told me that at one point

Foundation's Edge is by Wachovia on Hillsborough St.

It's a cool little shop.

rather deal with the ongoing headaches of being in the middle of that construction area (with the possibility their building getting deep-sixed anyways), they just decided to consolidate

Not near campus, but there's a nerd shop off Walnut called The Gamer's Armory. Could call them I suppose.

I had a dream last night that I was buying Revised edition packs at Borders for 40% off. The only good thing about revised was the dual lands which when I first played was not a cool card like a powerful creature, little did I know at the time the value they would later fetch, I still do have I think five or six different sets of four dual lands at my parents house.

there's a hobby shop kinda off glenwood that had a poster calling for people wanting to play tabletop games...don't remember the name of the place, though.

Try Game Theory... it's a bit away from campus, but a friend of mine who was an official judge for tournaments used to work there, and I know they've had pre-release events.

Foundation's Edge is awesome since it's named after the best book in one of the best SciFi Series ever written.

There used to be DnD nerds on the 4th floor of Talley outside of Student Legal, think they moved there after the steam tunnels were closed.

They have roleplaying stuff, but I don't think they do that much with CCGs. I could be wrong.

They've been closed for, like, three years. Good riddance.

Once upon a time I'd make weekly stops to Capitol Comics on Hillsborough. I went there recently and didn't buy anything (just absorbed the nerd as you say) because I saw that comic prices are now beyond ridiculous.

If they were cheaper I might pick up a few just on impulse. At their current prices? Ha.

I went in there recently and bought 25 GI Joe comics for $20 - impulse.
