i can't remember a single day of kindergarten, but i remember my teacher ... i think the library had some incubating chicken eggs that hatched one day, but that could have been anywhere between K-2
my mom was the music teacher at my school from k-2, she made me play the king in the Rumpelstiltskin play lol
then there was a play called "new kids on the farm" and i played a city kid, it was cool then because i got to ride a scooter into the scene from behind the crowd 7/25/2011 8:21:00 PM |

Once I get to middle (and you have multiple teachers) I can't quite get them all. But I've got yearbooks so it's pretty easy to look them up.
I remember in kindergarten me and my friends (me and about 5 others who also attended preschool together) would always steal paperclips from the teachers desk and unfold them and put them in mouths to pretend we had braces (I'm sure lots of people did that). But we felt like such badasses for stealing her paperclips. 7/25/2011 8:27:55 PM |

Kindergarten: Mrs. Smith 1st: Mrs. Wipley 2nd: Mrs. Corbin 3rd: Mrs. Sharon 4th: Mrs. Ray 5th: Mrs. Ray (she moved up!)
Middle school and onward involves multiple teachers, so...
I mean I can remember some but it's not worth trying to sort through all of them.

so one day we made him think he had eaten pork and he got all scared and nearly started crying, so someone finally told him it was a joke 7/25/2011 8:59:22 PM |

^^Kindergarten-2nd IIRC for me.
And yes, they timed that shit too.
And I remember discovering in first grade that apples, once bitten into, go bad quickly. It was snack time (before lunch) and I had an apple in my lunch box, which was separate from my snack. I wanted some of the apple so I took a few bites and put it back. In a few hours we ate lunch...I opened my lunch box and the apple was brown and I was all pissed.

me and another dude had the distinct responsibility of taking the milk cart to the lunchroom to get everyone's milk one day, everyone had given their 10 cents or whatever it costed
but we noticed that we had enough $ to get some ice cream, so we got in trouble and had to go to the principal's office
the art teacher from K-2 was Ms. Glazer, and she kinda looks like Jay Glazer, I'm still not convinced she's not his mom or aunt or something

For some reason I got stuck in the secondary academically gifted class twice during elementary school. I guess I barely made the cut or something. Fourth grade was the worst. The school was used to having <30 academically gifted kids, so when they ended up with like 38 AG kids they made a fake AG class with like 8 actually AG kids and a bunch of stupid motherfuckers all mixed in.
Between that and living half a block from the housing projects for my first 5 years of school I learned a lot. I can throw blows with the best of them and don't apologize for shit. 7/25/2011 10:06:25 PM |
