So, I just bought a '10 Honda Civic. In my old car, my buddy helped me hard wire my radar detector (Pdf of Manual associated with my model).

I'm not sure what would be the best fuse to hook my radar detector up to so that it'll automatically turn on when I start the car and not blow any fuses. I use my cigarette lighter usually for a gps so that one is a no go since I would usually always blow that fuse with both plugged in.

Here are the list of indoor fuses in the 2010 Civic.

I cant imagine a radar using more than 3A. the V1 has a 3A fuse in its charger.

I always use some sort of radio fuse. I would try #35 or 28/29 depending on what they go to. hard to tell what "accessory" means in this case.

pretty sure when i hardwired my V1 i taped into an accessory power source (might even have just multimedered around until i found one)

dont get a radar detector because they are worthless no matter what you get. do the speed limit

He didnt fucking ask you if he should get a radar detector. He had a specific question about installing it. Quit being a judgmental douche.

When i hardwired my V1 into my accord, i tapped into the radio wire. Put on an inline fuse and have not had a problem with it in the last 5 years i have had it.
