I recently came into a sum of money and looking into renting a bunch of furniture. Anyone have any luck with renting?

Unless you're renting for an office don't do it. There are things you rent, like cars. There are things you buy, furniture.

Why rent furniture when you can rent rims? Twenty-twos son!

Not to mention in this state you've got outlets and crazy amounts of ability for discounts and market samples. Never rent furniture.

Rent-a-Center trucks are always pulling in and out of trailer parks and slums.

If you're renting furniture, you're 1 step away from a cardboard box over a steam grate.

who the fuck other than someone selling a house would rent furniture? or maybe rich people that want "the new style" every few months

i didn't even know people did this

why

it seems to me that poor people would be last on that list...what a waste of money. If you don't have equity in your house or collateral in a car, at least have liquidable assets like furniture and hairpieces

Paul, how much money do you have?

What type of furniture do you want (be specific).

have you never seen who is at the rent-a-center or aaron's or whatever other rental store?

renting 60" HDTV's and 24" rims is a good way to keep the poor people poor. we need poor people to do shitty jobs.

When I come into a sum of money, I prefer to give some of the money away and blow some on gifts, but lose much of it on bad investments.

The only folks in Rent-A-Center are poor ass people. When I did rental cars a few years back we would run into the furniture rental people. They were the people who brought as a bill their monthly bill for all their stupid shit they were renting from Aarons, Rent-A-Center, etc. Also when we would go to repo the car they stopped paying on and failed to return, usually the trailer or project that we had to go to and find it would be filled with all sorts of rental furniture. 65" TVs, all the consoles, gigantic stereo systems, previously nice couches and chairs that looked like they had been pissed and fucked on, etc. Meanwhile the babies didn't have anything to wear but a diaper full of shit, but at least mom and dad were ballers in their rental car and rented furniture/electronics.

I am lesser funded than you, if you have enough money to waste on renting furniture.
