So what you're saying is.... by inducing selective osmosis on certain epidermal cells of the tentacles via the application of acetic acid, the subsequent appearance of sporadic turgidity of certain appendages will appear to mimic movement as though the organism were still alive.

^^ i wouldn't call it live octopus. it is cut up into pieces, hence dead. (like the 2nd embedded video ITT) yes, there is residual electrical activity, hence the wriggling tentacles, but the animal is dead. one of my dad's friends slaughtered a goat in front of us, gutted it, skinned it, and cut the meat into cubes and piled them high on a large plate. some of the CUBES OF MEAT were shaking/vibrating/wriggling, 20-30 minutes after the slaughteration. wouldn't call it "live goat" though.
