looking at something on ebay sold by a guy in raleigh...i asked him if i can pick it up and pay in cash if i win and so avoid the $25 shipping fee (it's pretty heavy) listed on the auction

this is more of a technical question than "should i do it" one...how would ebay handle that? he said he'd rather have cash in hand than pay via paypal, but will ebay throw a fit if i never pay for it through paypal (his only listed form of accepted payment)?

Pretty sure eBay will lower your credit rating to 36DD if you do this.

ebay has a new system in place that lets buyers have free run of the site, so you dont have anything to worry about

I don't always use ebay locally, but when I do, I use craigslist.

As long as the seller doesn't mind meeting in person you'll be fine. eBay gets most of it's money from the 9% final value fee. They don't care about Paypal fees.

You save $25 shipping. Seller saves 3% Paypal fees and doesn't have to package/take trip to post office.

Win/win.

I did this after buying a car muffler, did not have any issues. Having some record of payment may be valuable though.

off-topic, I suspect quagmire02 relied on Boobpedia; also judging from the fact that I knew about that site, you can guess where my preference lies~

on-topic, sellers on eBay are able to indicate whether "local pickup" is an option, and I think in that case there is no shipping charge; doing it in cash is a bit dicier though

Boobpedia, among other things, allows you to find performers with a certain bra size, like this: http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Category:36E_bra
