For sale is a good condition, 1985 Yamaha XV700 Virago cruiser.

I bought this bike a couple of months ago as a restoration/project, but since cleaning it up, I have decided to sell it and use the funds for a dedicated track bike. Light-weight and easy to ride, this would make a fantastic starter or commuter bike, as all the regular and long-term maintenance items have been taken care of, including almost brand-new tires. For those who do their own maintenance, or would like to learn, the sale includes a printed and bound copy of both Haynes and OEM service manuals. It is currently titled, plated, insured, and ready to sign over and ride away today.

Mechanically, it is in great shape - the only outstanding issue is a starter clutch that likes to jump out intermittently, a very common problem with this generation of XV's. It does not affect operation since you simply wait a second and press the starter again, but I have a spring clip shim/spacer kit that corrects this annoyance. I have not installed it because I was saving it for the next oil change (requires draining oil and removing the clutch cover), but it will be included along with a copy of the installation instructions. Cosmetically, it is about 80% - tank has some chips on the exterior, side covers are missing, chrome (other than forks) has some light pitting and rust, and while the rear turn signals operate normally, the stalks have been reinforced with steel rods and electrical tape. All lights, signals, horn, and electrical equipment works flawlessly, and the bike recently passed inspection. Sissy bar is not pictured, but is included in case you wish to install it.
