I drove 7 hours today to go to a festival to see 2 bands tomorrow that I have seen 3 times locally in the past year. You drove one click into a tipping thread. Gotcha! So here's the deal. Since I turned 21 this year I've been tipping a dollar a beer because I thought that was standard practice. I realize that that's like 33% at the minimum but I figured that was normal and I'm not about to give someone change... low and behold someone asks why I don't wait till the end of the night and estimate how many I've had and toss the appropriate ammount then. So is 1$ per beer too much?

I usually tip a $1 at a time, too. The bar wench makes more that way. If I drank 10 beers, and waited until the end of the night, I'd probably just leave a $5.

I attended all of those shows. They were awesome. Since this is a thread for asking questions, here goes! Do you think that developing a physical addiction in the real world would help me rid myself of a virtual addiction (World of Warcraft)? I am thinking that if I were to develop an addiction to, say, meth, that my priorities would change. I can totally see gameplay mechanics and raid progression moving down on my priority list, while the location of Carl, who has the meth lab in his basement, suddenly moves to the top. Does this sound like a plan?

if you start smoking weed, you'll see that Warcraft is stupid and a waste of time. instead you'll find more productive things to do, like: watching conspiracy theory documentaries on youtube, staring at the ceiling while listening to music, or eating entire Pringle tins in one sitting.

just dont mix MMO and drugs, i tried to play DCUO (when i had it for a month) when i was on some medicine for the flu and it was no bueno. aggro mobs freaked me out everytime. luckily that game doesnt take skill and you can just mash your keyboard
