would it be insurance fraud to go around buying houses the day before a hurricane and then using your 3 day opt out if the house isn't destroyed so you can collect the insurance payout? I mean surely you could come up with a reason and thhey could never prove fraud , right? does everyone do this?

Do realtors simply stop working ahead of a hurricane to prevent this?

Not all of those models come out of the same research institutions. Most of them align well in the 18 hour range.

You can't buy flood insurance if you're in a hurricane warning...just in a hurricane watch
