Well, my mom told me about my dad. And frankly, I grew up in an overtly naked household.

In hebrew it is brit/breet (transliteration can be tough sometimes) but since there are 2 letters in hebrew that make a "T" sound, european yiddish speakers turned one of them into an S, hence bris, tucas, and shabbas just to name a few.

The word means covenant, so the circumcision represents a covenant with G-d and the Jewish community.

bottombaby has always been far too excited about this topic for someone that doesn't even have dangly parts. She probably just needs a cut penis to show her a good time, and someone to throw her up against the wall in the bedroom. I would offer, but I dont find her particularly attractive... we had to change his dressing every diaper change. each time we pulled off the gauze strip (which is coated in vaseline, but still) he'd scream bloody murder. it got better after a few days, but those first 3 were really sad. we decided to do it b/c that's what we know.

he's perfectly fine now. doc did a great job. but those first few days broke my heart

Everyone should do what they feel is healthiest. There are kids out there that become active and wish they had been cut and those that become active and wish they hadn't been.



And for the handjob issue, a lot less lube is necessary for an uncut handjob. and there are ways to manipulate it that apparently feel really good that you couldn't do if it is cut.

I feel pretty strongly about the subject because I think that circumcision is genital multilation. I don't think that I have the right to alter my child's body without their permission. I also wouldn't pierce an infants ears for the similar reasons.

And I've also mentioned in other threads that my mother and paternal grandmother circumcised their first born, but chose not to do it to following children. Coincidence? I think not. They both thought that it was awful and wished that they hadn't done it to their first borns.

I've heard some stories from parents getting their child circumcised more for health reasons rather than a religious thing. For some children it can be more difficult to clean and maintain the area, and therefore an increased chance of infection.


dunno if its true or not though. I was snipped as an infant and am doing just fine. Prob do the same with my kids

i don't think it's an old wives tail at all. My mom's friend got her 3 yo son circumsised because he was having issues down there. Idk exactly what those were cause I didn't ask, but it sounded like he was having trouble urinating or something. Whatever it was, the circumcision fixed the problem
