Up for sale is a 2003 Ford Explorer XLS 4X4 4.0 in excellent mechanical condition.

The Good:
-Very strong engine with absolutely no issues whatsoever.
-4X4 shifts smoothly between high and low gears
-Only 117,200 miles
-Very clean gray interior
-Transmission shifts smoothly with no issues.
-Overall very good looking truck
-Cassette and CD player
-Foldable rear chairs
-Lots of space once you put down the chairs.
-NEAR brand new tires....almost 90% tread left
-Tinted privacy windows

The Bad:
-There is a small hole to the right of the front bumper and a scrape on the rear right fender area....not very noticeable but can definitely see if you look close enough.....maybe a $100-150 repair (See picture in gallery).
-Small crack on rear door....does not leak water or anything...I've noticed other Explorers also have similar crack....not sure how it cracked....from previous owner.
-A few chips on hood paint, BARELY noticeable but wanted to describe everything so that no surprises.

The car RUNS VERY STRONG and is in excellent shape and looks really nice....similar trucks are going for a lot more and are not even 4x4.....CLEAN title with no accident history....asking $6300 or best reasonable offer.

If serious, I can get carfax report at my expense.

PM if interested

Thanks

^not really, cars.com, ebay.com, autotrader.com, craigslist.com, carmax.com, not to mention a bunch of dealships, have the same exact model with same mileage priced in the $6900-8600 range.

I'd love to know where you think you can get this for $4000?

Tune up recently?

Have you already changed the timing belt?

^I believe it has a chain.

Regular maintenance was performed, oil changes, spark plugs, etc. It runs like a beast!

When I was shopping for a used one they all had the crack also... There are online movements for a recall, but no action from Ford at this time.

Price is dropping $100/day. That's not how you keep the low-ballers away
