That is what I'm hearing. I think the only reason it is getting so much play nationally is (ZOMG!) because it is projected to hit NYC.

Afew days ago they were talking about it being a Cat 4, barily was a Cat 3 briefly and there is really nothing out there other than dry air/shear which isnt good for storms thus why we have had a bunch of storms but all of them for the most part have been weak.

if you're going to shit all over everyone's plans/life for a weekend, make it worth our while

don't walk into the room acting like you're going to helicopter dick everything not nailed down, then just mushroom stamp one thing and leave

This is the fault of the media. They always sensationalize storms and focus on popular/rich areas... i.e. the outer banks. Hell, they've been reporting like crazy on downed fucking trees. really?

I'd like to see them go visit the inland rivers, along the Neuse and probably Pamlico. You want to see damage, destruction, and actual news... stuff worth sensationalizing? Then go where the damage occurred.

It's been pretty lame here too. Not nearly as bad as the week of panic would have lead us to believe.
