Walk-in freezers aren't exactly the sort of thing you can wheel into a room and plug in

I'm thinking like a refrigerated truck... Penske maybe? Dunno, does it have to be inside?

[Edited on September 7, 2011 at 2:57 PM. Reason : Penske has them in CDL and non-CDL sizes]

Why did you not state the purpose of him wanting one and why did you not state the duration he wanted to 'rent' one.

Why can't he just rent a bunch of chest freezers? That seems more feasible.

how far a drive is the nearest city? Less than 30 minutes?

If it's as much food as I think you're thinking....I would go to a local ice warehouse or meat supplier and ask if you could borrow their space.

If they say no, offer a price to rent the space.

Then transport the food via vehicle on the days that you need it.

Reminds me of that prank caller that called to rent a pig cooker. He wanted to know if it got hot enough to cremate a human body. They were poor and going to cremate their dead cousin then cook a pig

^ I enjoy drinking beer outside in the winter and having it stay refrigerated the whole time.

Pretty sure Penske does refrigerated truck rentals. That's likely the closest you'll get to a "walk-in."
