so im going on a 4 day trout fishing trip in october, long story short i need a bag....the kind where i can carry some bootseither in or somehow affixed to the bag and carry lunch and plenty of water in..hell maybe a camel pack

some hiking boots, probably a size 13-14 im not sure how they are sized

im not sure how cold it iwill, but i would probably like a heating unit for my tent and/or sleeping bag.

i dont need a bag big enough to fit all this stuff in, we arent moving our campsite up n down the AT or anything

anything else that you think I might need let me know, maybe some shoe dryers? P.S. i will have access to a cottage so there is electricity. Appreciate it

There was a older external frame pack that looked to be in nearly new shape at the Durham Rescue Mission thrift store on Glenwood Ave. when I went there the other day. I think it was a Jansport, but I didn't look too closely and I didn't pay attention to the sizing. It was outside on the back of the building in the big bins of bags (travel, laptop, duffel, etc.) It would probably be like $3 if it's still there though. It's green. Make sure you go to the Glenwood Location and not the Durham Location if you want to go grab it.

If you get a good sleeping bag you won't need a heating unit. Make sure you have a good insulated sleeping pad to keep you off the ground though. The ground will suck the heat out of you no matter how nice of a bag you're in.

If there is a cabin with electricity you can probably get fresh water there. If not, maybe look into a filtration system. Carrying around 4 days worth of water will be more trouble than it's worth. Bottles are reusable.

I have an old external frame pack if you want it $5

and I've gotten to the point that i prefer running shoes to hiking boots in most situations

the chemical drops are the way to go if you need to clean water, sleeping pad is a must, take extra socks (wool is preferable), heater is overkill, tang and a 5th of vodka make fine hiking mates
