^Back when Chelsea Clinton was touring around, she spoke at a university and someone asked something about how Bill's cheating affected her family. She was very surprised by the story and couldn't answer well.

Next week, she was at NC State and one of our idiots asked just about the same question and she fired back a prepared answer.

I liked how when Ralph Nader came to speak he basically avoided all questions that weren't softballs.

"I am emailing you important information concerning the visit for President Obama to NC State on Wednesday, September 14th. He will be speaking in Reynolds Coliseum at 12 pm. We are excited to host the President on our campus. The last sitting President to visit NC State was Ronald Reagan. Be a part of history!"

Quote :
"Students will have the opportunity to receive a ticket on a first come first served basis starting at 8 am in the Brickyard on Tuesday, September 13th. Each student will need their Student ID to receive a ticket. Students can receive a maximum of 1 ticket for the event. We have limited quantities of tickets and will be distributing until supplies run out. The ticket tables will be located in front of Harrelson Hall across from D.H. Hill Library. "

Quote :
"Tickets will be available for the General Public at 12 pm on Tuesday at Carter Finley Stadium at the Vaughn Towers ticket window. This will be on a first come first serve distribution as well. "

Quote :
"IMPORTANT Transportation Information:

* Wolfline Transit would be detoured for the entire day - no service to Dunn/Jeter, Carmichael Gym or Faucette Drive stops.

* The Coliseum Deck paylot would be CLOSED and users would be directed to use the Carter Finley Park and Ride Lot (Rt. 6 - every 15 minutes; service to the Scott Hall/Founders Drive area) or to park in a signed area in Greek Village (walk or ride Rt. 9).

* No parking on Morrill Drive after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13. (This includes the "RE" spaces on Morrill Drive next to Derr Track). Displaced "RE" vehicles would be directed to park in the West Deck or designated Greek Village parking.

* Any vehicles remaining on Morrill Drive after 7 p.m. on Tuesday would be relocated (towed) to another campus location.

* We encourage students to walk to the event!"

Quote :
"Day of Event information:

Students should be prepared for traffic delays starting at 10:30 am. Road closures and high volumes of traffic on campus will slow down time entering and exiting main campus. We ask that students review the parking information and be understanding for potential delays. It is highly suggested that students carpool or use public transportation on the day of the event to create less congestion.

Students who are planning on attending the event should plan to park/arrive at 11:00 am. We ask that students headed to Reynolds Coliseum walk through the Free Expression Tunnel/Wolf Plaza and head towards the coliseum from there so crowd flow will move faster. We hope to have less foot traffic on Dunn Avenue around the Coliseum Deck.

Students who are *NOT* attending the event are asked to avoid walking through this area from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. There will be high volumes of pedestrian traffic and would like for students not attending to walk around the area to not cause more congestion.

If you have student ticket inquiries contact Andy Walsh in the Office of Federal Relations at rawalsh2@ncsu.edu.

With Wolfpack Pride,

Chandler Thompson"

I'd like to go, partially because I'd like to hear the Jobs speech, but I'd also just like to see and hear a serving President. Not a huge Obama fan or anything, but it's still the President on our campus.

Would have to skip class to do so, and I'd have to wake up and go to campus to get tickets. These may be factors in me deciding to not give a fuck.

FAA says Apex too:

Quote :
"VIP NOTAM - Raleigh / Apex, North Carolina
Notice Number: NOTC3209
September 14, 2011
Raleigh / Apex, North Carolina
10/12/30 NMR - 18000 MSL

Specific instructions and restrictions are available at http://tfr.faa.gov once the NOTAM has been issued."

Thank "pitchforks and pointed ears" for a T/H teaching schedule so I can stay miles away; sleep in; and dream about change (assuming any left after taxes) in 2012.

^^^^ Agreed, I'm just saying that Obama is starting 2012 in a much less advantageous position amongst independents, who have soured on him and even his own supporters who have felt that his performance has been far short of expectations. He had the luxury of being able to focus on states like Virginia and North Carolina because his base was already solid elsewhere. He's got to do a lot of work to shore up his base that will take resources away from swing states.

Not sayin, just sayin.

Don't expect to hear anything resembling a plan or more concrete than "we have a lot of hope for change to the job market going forward in our battle against Republicans"

Nothing more than political posturing and campaigning.

At least the Obama White House lets anyone have a chance at a ticket. Last time Bush was in office they only gave tickets to those affiliated with the Republican party
