no love for the 919? If you're worried it would be too much I can tell you it's not super fast, but it has a bit of low end torque which, for example, makes being stuck in traffic less of a pain.

having ridden both, i prefer the 919 (they went efi first) but if you're worried about power the 919 doesn't have much more top end... but it is more eager to throw you off the back of the bike down low.

I would just prefer a 599. Whats the difference in MPG . Yeah I really asked that. I go over 230 miles on a tank right now.

I don't use it to commute, and I actually haven't ridden it much in the past year, so I don't recall exact numbers. It has a 5 gallon tank, and the fuel light comes on with about 1.5 gallons left, and IIRC I can get about 160-180 miles, depending on how light I am on the throttle. I usually fill up at that point since the 919 (and the 599) don't have a fuel gauge.

Thanks for the offers, guys, but I'm not in that much of a hurry to sell it.

160-180 miles/tank puts you in the 'meh' mpg range. but that's still a nice looking bike and i'm wanting to get something torquier than a RR sportbike for the street. if you're willing to come down in price (would $2200 be the high bid now?) then let me know i'm really interested in taking a look.

It's not 160-180 miles/tank. The tank is 5 gallons, and I believe fuel light comes on at either 1.5 or 1 gallon left. Let's say 1, so that's 160-180 miles / 4 gallons which is about 40-45 MPG. Sure, it's not a Ruckus, but it's not horrible either. Almost seems that the fuel consumption for the 599 and 919 are about the same, but I can't find an official EPA estimate.

I might be willing to negotiate price, but $2200 is still a bit to low for me currently.

I have never gotten more than 130 miles out of a 4 gallon tank of premium
