I had almost EXACTLY the same thing happen to me on my bicycle.

I was FLYING (gps recorded me @ 27mph) down a hill in Pismo Beach, CA on the way back to my hotel. I'd developed a pinhole leak in my front tire and decided to get back home rather than risking a patch on a 35+ mile ride.

This Mercedes tried to cross the intersection I was going through (he didn't see me at all) and just like the dude on the video I ran into the car's rear passenger side quarter panel.

I don't remember the impact at all.

But my hands, back, head or knees never touched pavement. All I had was a BIG fucking bruise on my hip (could barely walk for a couple of days).

Apparently, from bystanders, I hit the car and had a death grip on the bike. Front flipped over the car (still holding on to the bike) and landed on my feet 3-5 feet away from the vehicle on the opposite side, again still holding onto the bike (though it was on the left side of me, not under me).

The front wheel and fork literally exploded in the impact. The rim looked like a spaghetti noodle and the CF fork had splinters everywhere.
