although, the car charge for my DX sucks. it's the vzw one, which is 800mA (I think) and it can't keep the damn thing charged when I'm running anything on it (cloud music service, gps, etc).

Never really timed it but I'd say that mine seems to take at least 2 hrs when the battery is at 10% or less.

Thing that sucks is that if I do any web browsing or play music on it, the battery won't last the entire day. (HTC Touch Pro 2) It's not as bad as my previous phone, the Touch Pro I, which wouldn't last the entire day no matter what you were doing with it, including just sitting there doing nothing. Time for a new phone anyway, I suppose.

what year is this? why do we not have instant charging batteries yet?

I got that sprint droid pro with the big boy battery. Junk takes like 3 to 4 hours to charge. But i can easily make it through one day and usually 2 or more if i am light use.
