I think your company's machine is broken...Unless you're a world class athelete that is.

Yesterday mine was 149/97 or something not sure why... It's usually only about 110-120/70-80 9/16/2011 12:41:31 PM |

Usually in the neighborhood of 100/60 or 110/60. Pulse lives between 50-60 bpm, higher if I drank the whole pot of coffee and get really nervous, or was just biking.
I'm also a triathlete, and commuter cyclist, and a nursing student, so I am intimately familiar with all of my vitals from lots of my fellow peers practicing on me .
First time we did my BP, the instructor got worried about mine (95/60 at the time) and rushed over, because she thought I was going to pass out. I was like , lady, it's supposed to be this low. 9/16/2011 1:16:29 PM |

Mine was something like 115/65 at the doctor today.
I remember one time my blood pressure read as 165/80. The doctor freaked out but it turned out the cuff was faulty 9/16/2011 3:02:06 PM |

I was nervous as hell Wednesday at the Dr.'s office and it was 140/90. it is usually 115-120/75-80 9/16/2011 3:30:52 PM |

mine is always 120/80 plus or minus 3. i can only think of one instance where it wasnt within that and that was because of the machine (it read 180/90 ) 9/16/2011 3:38:54 PM |

Yeah I hate when the machine screws up. It's like OMG WTF DID I DO TO CHANGE MY BLOOD PRESSURE THIS MUCH?! oh j/k faulty machine lol. 9/16/2011 3:50:21 PM |

the cuffs of the BP machines here in the office are too small for my arm. My arm turns purple, and then the machine tells me by BL is 200/165. 9/16/2011 4:18:42 PM |

Damn right I will celebrate what my BP is, as I come from a family history on both sides of diabetes, emphysema, cardiovascular disease, heart attacks and high BP. As I cited per my background, I should know it, and I also think I should be a healthy future nurse, and a role model for my patients. It's scary the amount of overweight nursing students there are in my program, it makes me face palm.
As a patient myself, I'm not going to listen to a health care provider that doesn't take care of themselves. The NP I had was also an amateur endurance athlete, and showed me it was indeed a goal to strive for. 9/16/2011 5:09:53 PM |

Mine was 109/63 yesterday at my flight physical. Pulse was 51. That was right after walking across the hospital to the dental clinic, too.

nah, I remember one time I had mine checked back in college, and it was 96/45, I think. Maybe it was 96/55, but I'm pretty sure it was 96/45.
Back then, the automated cuffs would often be unable to get a reading on me--they'd have to break out the manual cuff and the stethoscope.

Looks like you're borderline hypotensive, OP. Eat some salt. 9/16/2011 7:29:42 PM |

Salt doesn't necessarily raise your BP. 9/16/2011 8:41:13 PM |

my blood pressure is always low. eating lots of salt defintely doesn't raise low blood pressure. at least, it doesn't raise mine. the only way to get my blood pressure up is pain. anytime i'm in pain, it jacks that shit right on up into normal/prehypertension ranges. 9/16/2011 8:48:30 PM |
