I frequently watch shows years after they broadcast and skim the commentary. I started watching breaking bad a few weeks ago, and read the breaking bad season 1 and 2 threads. If there was a "fall 2008 tv" thread, that would have been worthless.

You've created 3 threads for three different shows that literally just started. This is the only one that I think might legitimately warrant its own thread early on since there is probably stuff to follow.

I'd tend to just track the new shows in the generic thread until they get a better hold since a lot of them are just generic sitcom type shows that really just exist for their own purpose at this point.

My Fall TV thread was intended for discussion on what shows are coming back (possibly to remind people who forgot they were coming back) or to let people know about shows starting up (to those who had not heard of them previously)

I prefer "TV Show + Season" format for the shows I watch regularly too. I just think it would clutter up the forum to create a thread for every show with "it sucked" or "I like it"

still one of my favorite shows. Glad they are using Elias to a minimum. He's a big bad so I'm glad they aren't just wasting his story and burning that character out. I like the machine being down but i'm kind of over Root. so hopefully we get somewhere with her before the finale.

i gotta say though, its pretty lazy writing that in the middle of a manhunt for a missing body, a detective bring a tactically-trained dog with no prior link to that precinct into the PD covered in mud and leaving paw prints. i mean, it was a cool ending, but come on.

i was in shock. couldn't believe they went there. that being said, after the conclusion of next week's episode and what is probably the end of Simmons a few doors are opened.

1. Root will escape after helping track down Simmons becoming a long arc for the second half.
2. Elias is still out there and with the Russians out of the game he'll retake his territory
3. Finch's secret about using other men like John in the past will probably resurface causing friction between the two.

i was surprised they killed her off. but i kinda saw it coming during the episode especially when John was saying his "goodbyes" in the morgue. and then when Simmons escaped, i think that sealed it for me she was done. still didn't make it any less sad; hell, my girlfriend started crying lol.

1. i'm not sure what the deal with Root is. she was acting very odd towards Finch in the last scene of those 2, like very affectionate and warm towards him. dunno if a ploy or genuine. but i do see her escaping somehow.

2. Elias i hope we see more of. i really like his character (and the actor himself). with HR pretty much defunct, i see him really taking control of the city.

3. John and Finch have a good relationship so i don't see friction between them over that. anything is possible yes, but i don't see John being upset about that.

Should've seen that coming, with all the setup during the episode...fuck shit...I still sat dumbfounded in front of my TV for a couple minutes.

I really liked her character too, and I really hope they don't try to force Reese and Shaw together going forward...
