They're probably pretty fucking sensitive about working at McDonald's. The last thing they want and need is people making fun/fucking with them. Hurt feelings/anger issues ensue.

They probably expect it anytime anyone orders ice cream in a cone. I don't see why they get so mad about it though, it's not like any ice cream gets on them. I'd think they'd just shrug and throw the rest of the cone away.

Generally you stop reaching at some point and let them hand it to you. Also, when you hand hundreds of people their food every day you probably get a sense for how they normally reach for their food.

they hand you your food FIRST and its inevitably wrong- youre too lazy, hungry, pressed for time to have them correct it.

Because it's a free pass.

The people aren't going to go complain to the manager that they got ice-cream in their car when they were obviously trying to get ice cream on their hand, and the odds of the kids complaining are pretty non-existent anyway. So it's an opportunity for someone who hates their life working at MacDonalds to be a dick to a drive-through customer (which is a fantasy anyone who has ever worked at the drive through window has had) without getting reprimanded.

I sort of know that.

But I also wish people were way better about being positive and stuff. I've been eating a lot of fast food breakfasts lately--horrible, I know--and the people are always friendly and smiling. If I have to think about them hating their jobs, it's totally gonna ruin it for me.

those asses need to be fired. an employee never has an excuse to assault a customer.

They are thinking they are gonna make somebody happy when thier swirling the cream into the cone and present it expecting happiness only to find coners. it doesn't make sense that they get so butthurt over seeing their little cone get destoryed anyway. if soemone eats it they get less enjoyment.

just because someone does something stupid, it does not immediately give you the right to lash back out at them, especially in a customer/service industry setting. If the customer threw the cone at the restaurant worker, that is one thing, but all they are doing is making a mess of themselves...
