So, I've been building a collection of Christmas themed DVDs over the past year. This will be something fun to watch during the holiday season each year to get that Christmas spirit going. Trying to figure out what movies I've left out and need to add to the fold. This is what I have so far:

Home Alone 1 & 2
Its a Wonderful Life
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
A Christmas Story
Polar Express
The Grinch
The Elf

My favorites as a kid were:

Frosty the Snowman
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
A Garfield Christmas

you could also add:
Miracle on 34th Street
The Santa Clause

Original list is good, most suggestions...are horrible.

How do you guys find the time to watch so much Christmas related stuff? That time of year especially, is usually too busy to find time to watch more than 2-3.

Who watches every Christmas special? Usually I catch Nightmare, Rudolph, and a few times I've watched White Christmas.

The rest you catch when you can.

Also, I expect to end up watching more Christmas specials as my kids get older and we find time to watch a few each year.

I've made it a point to acquire all the christmas specials from my childhood in dvd format as a sort of 'gift to myself' - every year it's like a ritual, and heightens my sense of Christmas excitement

The original Garfield Christmas is pretty great. Seriousness.

Also, if you can find the Twilight Zone Christmas Special (Night of the Meek), defintiely add it to your collection. The original is really good, but I actually prefer the remake in the mid-1980s
