I need a quick logo or flashy text to put on my website for my front page.
http://www.ShowroomShineNC.com. It would go where the current white/red "logo" is now. Ideally I'd like it to have a black background so it would blend with that column, chrome or silver text color. The current logo is whats on my t-shirts but it looks silly on the site.
Does anyone have any ideas on what should be done or where I should start? Is this simple enough I or someone here could do (I'd be willing to pay) or do I need a graphic designer?
Any tips would be appreciated. 10/12/2011 8:35:47 PM |

I see a suave silvery logo.
Anyway, the answer is alpha transparency. 10/12/2011 10:22:41 PM |

How does one get a passion to clean cars? 10/12/2011 10:33:04 PM |

Oh yeah I changed it temporarily until I can find something better. It actually looks ok now (just needs to be bigger). 10/12/2011 10:33:23 PM |

This actually reminds me of one time I was in a coffee shop in new bern.
I sat there for an hour eavesdropping on this guy (loudly) discussing his life story. tl;dr: the guy was passionate as fuck about cleaning cars, how no one understood quality, THE MAN WAS KEEPING HIM DOWN, and no one would support him with his dream.
I actually think it's pretty fucking excellent that people become passionate about what they do no matter how seemingly mundane it is.10/13/2011 12:05:01 PM |

With your design, if I were you, I wouldn't use a logo. Find a web-safe font you like and do that up in plain text. It should be distinct from the menu text on the page, and stand out a bit, but for something that simple my advice is not to gay it up with a logo. 10/13/2011 9:18:25 PM |

Whatever. His logo is words. Use words, not a shitty picture of words.
edit: Clearly I'm not up to date on web-design trends. I'm not a web developer, I'm an actual developer.
