I'm going to my first NASCAR race tomorrow night. Anyone have any tips or advice?

I'm told we have tickets in "the pit" and "the garage". What does that mean? And who is going to win, so I can cheer for them?

We only live 30 minutes away so hopefully we will make it before the race starts. Might take you up on the tailgating offer. I bet traffic will be a bitch after the race anyway.

So pit tickets are good? Peter is doing some work for NASCAR so they said we can have some tickets. Where are the pit tickets? Am I going to get hit by a car?

I remember my Dad rooting for Mark Martin when I was younger. I'll probably cheer for JR since he is hot and from NC.

Pit passes are great if you don't want to watch the race without getting neck ache. It will be exciting for someone who knows what they are looking for and looking at but to be honest the bst place is coming on to pit road and the exit of pit road.

A long time ago, we used to go to Martinsville for every race with about 20/30 people. One time we brought the mayor of our town with us. He got wasted and started throwing chicken wings down the stands/onto the track. A good time was had by all.
