the radio isn't even about playing music that's good anymore. It's about playing the same shit over and over constantly because those are the people who have the most money. Songs from before the summer started are still being overplayed.

I was just talking to Allie yesterday about how radio pop music is devolving to the point that in a few years 105.1 is just going to play a single beat all day long... with commercial breaks


Raleigh's radio market is pretty much worthless. I remember when 106.1 was the best station around, then it turned into the Rooster, now I dont even know what the hell that station is anymore.

The problem with the top 40 stations is that they play a small set of songs over and over. A lot of those songs were pretty good until I had heard them for the thousandth time.

I'm sure there are contracts and stipulations that require them to ONLY play recent hits, and not stuff from several years ago unfortunately.
