Just like seeing the run rise over the Atlantic and set over the Pacific on the same day. 10/25/2011 1:00:41 AM

The reason the aurora borealis could be seen so far south last night is the result of a very large coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun recently. It is highly unusual to see them down this far south.
And I missed them 10/25/2011 10:55:55 AM

Be prepared if this happens much more in the near future shit is gonna start breaking. The sun has been quite active lately and all it takes is an X class flare to happen while its pointed right at us to make sure everyone can see the northern lights because everyones power will stop working. Sounds fun until the mass hysteria begins! 10/25/2011 6:08:19 PM

Atlantic Beach
South facing beach and in the fall and winter you can see the sun rise and set over the ocean.
See them again tonight? or was it just last night?

I've seen the sun set and rise over the Atlantic within an 8 hour period. From 35,000 feet.
