i'm trying to think where offensively boston college is better than UNC.
if special teams and offense doesn't do anything stupid for us we might be able to keep them from setting some scoring record for their season.

"I've seen those routes thousands of times," said BC linebacker Jolonn Dunbar, who returned an interception 14 yards for a touchdown and a 14-10 lead. "I knew the tight end would come off. I knew what he was going to do."
at least there won't be 70 BC players this year that can say that about TOB's team.

Quote : | "NC State hoping to continue latest turnaround By JOEDY McCREARY, AP Sports Writer
RALEIGH, N.C. — What once seemed unthinkable for North Carolina State now appears likely: The Wolfpack are on track to qualify for a bowl game.
A surprising shutout of rival North Carolina means they need only beat two of the ACC's worst teams — Boston College and Maryland — to reach the postseason for the second straight year.
N.C. State (5-4, 2-3 ACC) appears to be in the middle of another late-season turnaround under coach Tom O'Brien. The Wolfpack have won three of four since a 2-3 start and visit struggling BC this week.
O'Brien said Monday that the challenge is to keep focused in an environment that praised them after the Virginia win and buried them after Florida State shut them out — and "now they're back to being good again."" |

Luckily we actually had some decent depth there. I've never been a fan of Dwayne Maddox, but he got the job done Saturday. Even made a few big plays behind the line. Sucks for Green, but he'll be back next year. It's nice for Maddox to get some quality PT his senior season.
Same goes with Rob Crisp coming in for Mattes. No drop-off at all that I could see ... in fact, the running game actually seemed to improve.11/7/2011 3:07:14 PM |

Yeah, I have zero confidence in us making a bowl.
At boston college: TOB has no Atlantic Division road wins + let down after beating unc = L Clemson at home: L Maryland at home: normally they would come in and screw up our bowl hopes but since there won't be any bowl hopes at this point... W

Two of our wins were against poopy FCS teams. You're allowed one FCS team for bowl eligibility per year. Hopefully in the next few years Yow and the others who pick our schedule try to find other crappy FBS teams like CMU rather than cupcake FCS games.

Usually scheduling two FCS teams is the result of someone backing out of a game. Was that the case this year or did the administration just fail at scheduling?

I think Tennessee backing out was more of a home and home switching to 1 game at the Georgia Dome.
Looking at South Alabama's plan to move into the Sun Belt Conference, I don't think they would have counted at all if we didn't play Liberty. The document states USA counts towards an opponent's FCS Championship eligibility. Next year, they count towards bowl eligibility.
